Tongue Depressors

Apparently, suckers (see February post) aren't the only instrument that Riley thinks he should use to clean out his ears with. He started to dig with tongue depressors the other day at a craft activity. I'm sure everyone around us was real impressed.

Getting Involved!

We have a new State Delegate for North Salt Lake, District 20, Precinct 3. Jill was nominated to be one of two representatives from our area at the State Republican Convention on May 8, 2010. She will be involved in getting feedback from others in our precinct and cast votes for which state and federal candidates will be on the ballot in November's election. She is excited for this opportunity and hopes to be more politically active.

Bunk Beds

We been wanting to get a bunk bed for quite some time, but they always seemed over priced. Jill stumbled across some on KSL, and found one for a good price.

We were hesitant at first because there was no picture posted and because it was so cheap. We went out to take a look and it was in good shape with just a handful of screws missing. Getting the bunk bed home, now that's a story for a different day.

Jill was excited because she loved the color and there were guard rails for the top bunk. Now if there were some way to keep the kids in their beds....

Gavin excited for the bunk bed to be finally assembled. He still won't let daddy sleep on his bunk bed no matter how many times he asks.

We think soon he'll be jumping down to the bottom bunk instead of using the ladder

Gavin and Riley's first night sleeping in their new beds, Good luck trying to find Riley!

FHE - Activity

For FHE, we decided to act out Ammon saving the flocks for King Lamoni.

Daddy was chosen to be the Lamanites who lost their arms.

Gavin and Riley had a fun time being Ammon.

Blastoff

We were up visiting family in Idaho a few weeks ago, and my sister-in-law suggested Blastoff. The price was cheap and there were a ton of things for Gavin and Riley to do.
There were mazes with slides and ball pits, costume dress up and a bunch of toys to play with. The Kids had a blast(no pun intended).
This will be a regular now each time we visit, along with Craigo's Pizza and Bambino's.

Dora the Explorer

This is Riley's favorite puzzle, "Dora the Explorer". We are impressed that he can put all the 20 pieces together. He insists on finding/putting in Dora's eyes first, all we have to do is hold the first few piece in place. He can also do the foam alphabet letters puzzle.

Gavin's Rats

Ever since his birthday last year, Gavin has been really interested in rats. At Thanksgiving time when it was his turn to say something he was thankful for he said, "I am thankful for rats".

He got a plastic toy rat for Christmas and with out fail, every time he prays he says, "...and thankful for the rat I got from Christmas". His latest ploy is trying to convince Riley to mention rats when he prays.

Valentine's Activities

The boys did some crafts and made valentine cookies.
