SHEPHERDS

Here are some pictures from the Morley Family Christmas Party. Santa Claus came and gave gifts to all the kids. The highlight of the evening was the nativity Scene, where chaos was in abundance as cousins performed there rendition of that 'Silent Night'. Of all the cousins, we think that Gavin took the spotlight. When the shepherds came to see baby Jesus, he came in riding on his crook, after they arrived to the stable Gavin proceeded to lay to in front of the manger(it must have been a long journey and was probably exhausted.) The Nativity ended with Logan & Gavin Sword fighting with their crooks.

Chris Lewis was happy because for once it was not his kids that he had to worry about.

THERE CAME THREE......FROM THE EAST?

The other day we were showing Gavin pictures of the nativity and he said, Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, & the three Pirates.
Where are the other pirates?

Today Gavin was singing "Away in a Manger", but instead of singing the words crib for his bed, he sang, ...Away in a manger no crib for his cars.

Have you seen my cars?

"Y"

4th & 18, another classic. Does every year always have to come down to the wire with the Utes?
The cougars put together another great season under coach Mendenhall and are undefeated in conference play for the past 2 years. My hometeaching companion told me that if they have another boy they would consider naming him Bronco.

TURKEY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Our internet was down for a few days and we've been out of town, so here's what we've been up to.

  • Thanksgiving - We went to Idaho Falls for Thanksgiving. We did the normal thing, cooked all day and ate together. And then ate some more and more and more...

  • Jill and Josh's Birthday - We went out to Breakfast at Perkin's for Jill's birthday and then did some Christmas shopping with her family. Had a nice time. Then we played PIT and SCUM with the fam that night and had a great time.

  • Gavin's Prayer -Now that Gavin knows how to pray he thinks it is his turn every time. No different when we were at Jill's parents for Thanksgiving. For prayers with the entire family he said the following: "Thank you for grandpa's shirt, and thank you for grandpa's big ears." Then he sings "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." like the song in the Primary Song Book. It was hilarious. Everyone started laughing after the prayer.

  • Black Friday - Cory went shopping with Jill's sister Jenny and got a camcorder. They were actually all out when Cory got to the display, but Jenny ran into some guy that had two and he gave her one. I guess we lucked out. Thanks Jenny!:)

THE FRESHIES

The other day Cory went to a concert with some of his friends from work. We were all fans of the artist and enjoyed singing along. They played their classics like "Banditos","Una Soda", "Broken Record", & "Down Together". We will have to post some pictures up from the show.

INTO THE 2ND

We made it past the first trimester of the pregancy. We are now entering week 15. So far this pregancy has been down with the sickness. We are hoping that within the next few weeks we will be morning/evening sick free. Jill is currently living off saltless saltines and sprite. Jill's next appointment is this Monday and we hope that the doctor will tell us it's a boy, so we don't have to screen for résumés.

Everytime we mention to Gavin that we are going to have a baby for him to play with he says he wants to hit the baby. Guess that means we have something to work on with Gavin in the upcoming months.

TRICK OR TREAT!

Gavin went trick or treating this year as the "Boy of Steel". He was very excited to learn that when you knock on a door people will give you candy. Gavin got so excited about getting candy that he would enter in the house after he had candy in hand and turn around and tell us to leave. We figured he was taking advantage of his chance to stock pile.

PUMPKIN CARVING

Gavin playing in the leaves. Gavin liked hiding in the big pile of leaves. He helped clean up the leaves for the most part, but really like playing swords with the rakes instead.Last year it took 26 very full bags of leaves by the time all the leaves were cleaned up.

FALL FUN

THANKSGIVING POINTE

Enterprise (Cory's work) treated us to an evening at the Thanksgiving Pointe Corn Maze. We were so busy doing everything else we actually didn't even get to the Corn Maze part of it all. We enjoyed a Hay Ride together and lots of different games. Here's Gavin and Cory on the trampoline-like thingy. Here's some other pics of us at Thanksgiving Pointe.

WELCOME!!

We enjoyed a nice weekend camping with Cory's sister Jen and her hubby Ben. It was so much fun and what a great view! Every time Gavin see's Jen and Ben he says "Let's go camping!!" We'll have to go more next year. Here are some pics from one campout in August. We are going camping with the ward again this weekend to camp Zarahemla.

Well, the most exciting news we have right now is that we are expecting! Jill isn't as thrilled about the sickness part of it but hopefully she will be done being sick in a couple of weeks. We are about 10 weeks along right now-so that puts the due date somewhere in April. Jill's first Doctor's appointment is tomorrow. Jill is still working part-time with JetBlue. We really enjoy our flight benefits. Jill and Gavin visited Jennifer Jones/Delaney (Jill's best-friend) in Boise last month and enjoyed spending time with her and her baby Blake. Jill is practicing with the Primary children for the music program which is in a couple of weeks where she plays piano. Jill just finished her Levi camping blanket that she started 4 years ago with the help of Cory's mom to tie it.

Cory is enjoying working with Enterprise at the Auto Mall in Sandy. He is also liking his new calling as Secretary in the Young Men's organization at church. It keeps him pretty busy on Wednesday nights (mutual). The Young Men recently went on a hike at Elephant Rock-they had a great time.

Gavin is learning more and more each day. He knows his alphabet, can count to 16 and absolutely LOVES Nursery. He is also copying a lot of what we say now-especially expressions. He likes to say "Oh my cow!" Instead of "Holy Cow." He is excited to go pick out a pumpkin and go trick-or-treating this year. He is going to be Superman.
