Pioneer Weekend

For Pioneer day weekend we had a lot to do. We went to a parade the night before, then for the 24th of July, we went to "Handcart Days" in Bountiful. We went on a short hike in Mueller Park where the kids had fun wading through the river. To top off the weekend we went to Lagoon.

Sick?

Gavin was given an opportunity to talk in primary. We told him Sunday morning about the talk, and almost immediately, he stated that he was sick, followed by a pretend cough and couldn't go to church. ( He did this several times.) We told him that if he gave his talk in primary then we would have treats at home. Once at church he started to say, "I'm only sick for primary(cough)".

We thought it was quite amusing that he "just became sick" and didn't think we would hear that line until school started.

FYI, he did not get up and give his primary talk.

NINE YEARS TOGETHER

We celebrated 9 years of marriage on July 7, 2009.

4th of July

We started the weekend off with Jill's 10 year class reunion. I can't believe it has been that long since high school! We nearly got rained out. Here is a picture of best friends from high school.


Jill's favorite place to be for the Fourth of July is in Idaho Falls, ID. They have the best firework show and parade! Here we are in our holiday shirts together.

These are pictures of the boys as we are watching the parade. They actually had quite the attention span for it-we were amazed.

We went to the splash park in Rexburg too and visited our old college campus at BYU-Idaho. Gavin wasn' t as excited about it as we thought he would be, but it was a nice way to cool off on a hot summer day.
