Home Grown Accountable Kids

We are trying a new job schedule for our kids. If they complete their morning, day & night schedule then they get a ticket to earn a reward. Basically we stole the idea from Accountable kids & tailored it for our family.

Magnet Ball

Riley started soccer this year. The kids are all four or five years old. Sometimes it can be painful to watch: a bunch of kids swarming around the ball. He is one of the smallest on his team, but is having fun and Riles scored his first goal at the end of his first game!

2nd Grade

Here is Gavin's first day of school picture. We can't believe that he's in second grade already.

Kid & the Beanstalk

A month or so ago, I walked past the kids bathroom and noticed in the sink that there was a plant growing up from the drain. I questioned the kids and Gavin said he accidentally dropped some bean seeds in the sink and they fell down the drain.  I didn't know that seeds could grow with just water and no soil. It made us laugh pretty hard. (I wish we would've taken a picture though).

PS - A few days later another bean plant started growing through the drain again, so we had to snake the drain.

Braden's First Haircut

These pix are from my camera phone. This is Brady's first haircut. Sad day (well just for Cory).

Funeral Service

Here are some pictures of the funeral on 8/20/2012. The service was very nice and it brought back some great stories and memories. Jim was a friend to all, and there were hundreds that came to his viewing and funeral.

James Muir Jr.

July 16, 1936----August 13, 2012

He was the hardest worker I ever met. He loved everything outdoors, especially camping, hunting, and fishing with friends and family. He was patient and kind and loved to tease and tell “dad” jokes. He loved John Wayne, horses and was a true cowboy at heart.

Miss you already daddy! Love you! Tell David we miss him too.

Golden Locks

Jill and I are at odds with Braden's hair. I love his baby locks, while Jill wants to cut his hair. She think he looks like a girl. I am hoping it will last till he's eighteen months, but we'll see.

Random House Projects

We finished our closet for our master bedroom. We added shelving to help out with the lack of space. We also put some shelving in Brady's closet and did some other random painting projects.

Birthdays

Here are birthday pictures of the kids:

Gavin turned 7 yesterday. we can't believe how big he is getting. He also lost his first tooth on Pioneer day.

Braden turned one at the end of May.

Riley turned 4 this year at the end of April. He took a friend with him to Kangaroo Zoo.

Brady is Walking!

After about two months of Braden holding onto our fingers, he started walking at the park on Wednesday. He is fairly good at turning too, he likes to go back and forth from the kids rooms. Since Braden never learned how to crawl he does need some help to get back up when he falls.
