Turkey Hands

A favorite FHE activity for Thanksgiving.

Halloween 2011

For Halloween Gavin was a ghost, Riley was Optimus, Bumblebee, & Superman & Braden was a pumpkin.

Pumpkin Carving

Our kids will play in the dirt for hours, but when it comes to sticking their hands into a pumpkin they want no part in that.

Baby Blessing: August 7, 2011

Here are some pictures from the blessing. We also got a 4th generation picture & Riley hamming it up as usual.

Fireworks

This year we did not make it to Idaho Falls for the firework show, however there were some
good fireworks at Eaglewood on golf course.

GO BOLD OR GO HOME

We finally finished our remodel, well enough to pass the appraisal. We created a nook for an office, a 2nd bathroom and a master bedroom. Our motto for painting was 'Go Bold or Go Home', so we got fresh colors.

Kindergarten Graduation

Gavin had his kindergarten graduation this month. The teacher read a page about each kid, answering life's tough questions..."Gavin is 5 years old. He loves to go to choosing time at school, and his favorite thing to do at home is to play with his toys. In 20 years, Gavin will be 6. He will be married to Sophie, and they will have 3 children. They will live in a house, and Gavin will work at Enterprise. In his free time he will drive his kids to school and go running. Congratulations Gavin!"

I don't think Gavin knew his teacher would share his deepest darkest secret crush. He was pretty embarrassed when she read Sophie's name and would NOT move his graduation paper from in front of his face. It was so cute.

Braden Cole!

Contrary to popular belief, we did not have a girl. Braden Cole was born 05.28.2011, Saturday night at 10:37 pm. He weighed in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing well and we are happy to have him in our home.

One month to go!

Here is a picture of Jill at about 8 months pregnant with baby #3. Gavin took the picture a couple of weeks ago.

Can we please mow the lawn??

Since Christmas the kids have been asking "when can we mow the lawn?". Well this past weekend was the first time this year. The kids were so excited to help. Here are some pictures of them helping daddy.

Rileys 3rd Birthday

We can't believe Riley is already 3 years old! Here are some pictures from his birthday party. All he wanted was a caterpillar cake (thanks for the help of my friend Elisa), creamy rice for dinner and to play Hungry Hungry Hippos. It was fun! He felt so special when we sang Happy Birthday to him. It was cute.

Easter 2011

The kids got WAY to much candy. I guess it's okay a few times a year. Here is a picture of one of the Easter Egg hunts we went to. Cory was very Eggcited that he won the 2nd annual family egg war. He was runner-up last year but beat the toughest competition on the Morley side-Grandma.

Swimming Lessons

Gavin has decided that his sport is swimming. He is taking private lessons with his cousin Camilla right now and is loving it. Jill made the kids matching shark towels that she saw in a magazine. They wear them after bath time too.

Tax Season 2011

Cory started working at an Accounting Firm and Jill came home to be with the kids. We are so grateful for the switch! Tax season means lots of overtime for Accountants. This was our first year of initiation. We are glad it is finally over, except for all of those who extended. Now we have Cory home early on Fridays again. Yay!

Dinosaur Museum

We took the boys to the Dinosaur Museum as a reward for Gavin doing so well at school. They are still talking about it. While we were there, Riley sneaked behind the roped off area while Jill was busy with Gavin and attempted to dismantle one of the 10 foot dinosaurs by hanging on its tail. We were really surprised that it didn't completely snap into pieces. We are happy to report that we did not get escorted out of the museum, but just watched Riley a little closer from then on

After the dinosaur museum, we went to our families favorite restaurant, Pizza Pie Cafe in Highland (not to be confused with The Pie, which is also good). We love their all you can eat pizza/salad bar and the kids especially like the dessert pizza. YUM! We can't wait until they get one closer to us.

Merry Christmas!

Every year we give the kids new jammies on Christmas Eve. Here is Gavin and Riley in their new pajamas this year.

At the family Christmas nativity, Riley was a shepherd and Gavin was a wise man.
